It was an afternoon of glamour, glow, and glitter as staff of Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited gathered for the company’s fourth 2025 ‘Thank God It’s Friday’ (TGIF) celebration. It was a celebration designed to blend relaxation, creativity, and culture. The event which was held at the company’s corporate headquarters in Lagos, was the most vibrant yet, bringing together employees in a colourful showcase of Nigeria’s rich heritage and culture.
Divided into regional teams representing various regions of the country, staff members transformed the venue into a cultural mosaic. Each group expressed the beauty of its traditions through captivating dance performances, elegant fashion parades, and an impressive display of indigenous cuisines: from spicy pepper soup, oha, abacha, onubu, akpu and suya to banga soup and starch, to amala, ewedu and gbegiri.
Beyond the spectacle, the event reflected Pinnacle’s belief in celebrating diversity, unity, and inclusion. It provided a refreshing platform for employees to learn, share, and appreciate one another’s roots while strengthening workplace bonds.
“As an organisation, we believe in balancing work with leisure,” said Mrs. Mabel Akinniranye, Human Resources Lead at Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited. “This edition is particularly special because every team went the extra mile to express pride in their cultural heritage. It’s been beautiful, educational, and inspiring.”
From rhythmic drumming to colourful attires and authentic local dishes, the day’s experience captured the spirit, resilience, and creativity of the Nigerian people: a reminder that, like its many ethnicities, Pinnacle’s strength lies in its diversity.
